Tuesday, September 6th is National "Read a Book Day." Students will have the opportunity to read for 20 minutes in each period that day. Reading is an essential skill and should be developed through academic and pleasure reading on a daily basis. Parents: please help us further encourage our students to read by giving them a quiet place to read each day at home. You are their greatest influence and can model positive reading habits by having books available for your children and taking your own opportunity to read every day. Thanks

As all of our students are aware already, the street in front of the school has changed.  The crosswalk near the seminary building is no longer there.  Just ordinary road, and no body can cross the street if its ordinary road, especially if there is lots of traffic, or dark.  Before and after school is the busiest times for traffic on this road, making it very unsafe to cross there. But that isn't the entire reason to stop our students' crossing habits.

The road belongs to West Valley City, and the WVC police enforce the laws.  They have informed the school that they will start issuing tickets for crossing illegally at the former location of the crosswalk.  Please spread the word about this. Any student (or anybody else) seen crossing there by police will be cited and/or fined
